Hello to all the newcomers on the forums. For those of you who are here to seek advice - before you create yet another "help me with my squad" thread, please consider the following FAQ’s:
    • Brave Frontier Wiki is your friend. You can search the full skill kits and SP options of all our units, as well as look up crafting recipes and descriptions on all other elements of the game such as spheres, elgifs, etc.
    • Getting your hands on as many diverse units as possible when you first start out is a great option. Beggars can't be choosers during the early stages of the game. But if you are wondering where to best spend your resources, focus on limited time unit gates. Global/Limited Edition units are typically better than standard units and their gates give you chances to pull other units via "noise pulls" anyways.
    • When determining priorities on which units to raise first, you generally need to make sure you have common milestones and goals in mind:
      • 50% mitigation is basically mandatory at this point in the game
      • Prioritize survival/support over damage initially. Tri-stat buffs (170% ATK/DEF/REC) are very common and a great place to start. Conversions onto those said stats stack with tri-stat buffs and can also help augment survival
      • Status ailments - typically not a concern in normal quests but is huge in trials, arena, and other content. Having at least someone who can status cleanse is preferred. Negation is highly recommended.
      • You need some type of healing eventually (burst healing or Heal over Time)
      • BB management - while 40% BC/HC buffs are useful at first, keep in mind that BB drain and BC nerfs are very common in late-game content. Build your squad around BC fill on spark is a much more consistent way to guarantee BB management. This is the key to success for most squads as being able to spam your BB/SBB allows you to maintain the important buffs throughout an entire extended fight.
      • There is no one-size fits all squad in BF. Every unit can help in some unique way based on individual kits. Rainbow squad or multi-element squad is OK for beginners. Don't worry about mono squads until you have a more advanced, broader spectrum of units to work with.
    • Squad building in BF for general content can be boiled down to a single point of emphasis: "trying to fit as many useful buffs as possible into your starting 5 + friend". Mitigation LS is basically the "go-to" recommendation now for all difficult content. Units like Regil, Ark, Alza Masta, Alan, etc. The rest of the subs should at the very minimum provide all the aforementioned survival buffs as well as offensive stuff that will come into play later.
      • In other words do not put 5 spark buffers in one squad. You don't need 3 separate crit buffers or 4 mitigators. Try to spread out your buffs so that one unit covers one area of it. Minor overlap is OK. Slot efficiency should be prioritized.
      • For example, one unit does spark buff with BC on spark. One unit has tri-stat buff with conversions. Another unit for healing and status cleansing. And another unit for crit chance/crit damage boost along with BB% ATK. Should be easy now since most OE units have a million buffs in their kits today.
      • Initial buffs to focus on (but not limited to): 50% Mitigation (2-turns preferable), Tri-stat (conversions go along well), Status Negation/Cleanse (Negate preferred), BC on spark, BB Fill on Hit, Healing (Burst Heal or HoT), Elemental/Critical Null, BC Instant Fill
        • Secondary buffs to focus on: Critical Rate %, Critical Damage, Enemy ATK/DEF down, Spark Damage Buff, Elemental Weakness Damage, BB% ATK, BC Fill/Turn, OD% Instant Fill/Fill Rate
    • Don’t be afraid to use gems to expand inventory. It may seem like a waste at first, but trust me, having expansive inventory really helps facilitate your progress and growth. For example, metal dungeon or imp dungeons are run on a 30-minute clock. Once that timer is up, the vortex is closed. Which means you want to maximize your ability to farm AS MUCH as possible in allotted window. Having only 4 inventory space means you will literally have to sell/fuse after each run, which renders your efficiency to horrible. Instead, someone with 75 available free space can run an entire 30-minute imp/metal dungeon without having to pause once, thus increasing their efficiency per key/energy substantially.
    • Make sure to focus on leveling and increasing your account level. Not only does it garner you more energy, but it also allows you to build up squad COST. You will need a minimum amount of cost available to field an entire team of Omni 8* units. Therefore, this should be your top priority at the moment. Monday Karma Dungeon and Super Karma Dungeons (when they come) are your best bets to level up quickly. Each level up also replenishes your energy, arena orbs, and raid orbs as an added bonus. Do not neglect your arena orbs. Use them as often as you can. While it’s a long term goal, the payoffs for increasing in arena rank substantially pays off in the long run.
Once you get past some of the basic beginning FAQ items and start to get a better feel for the game, you may find that you will still have some more additional (more advanced) questions. Trial strategies and squad setups. Frontier Hunter – how to properly build a nuke squad? Arena/Colosseum setups, what do they mean? What are guilds and guild raids and how do I get involved?

For those more deeper questions, it may be difficult to address every point in a forum thread. Which is why I have dedicated another avenue for players on the forums to come gain access to my discord chat where we can try to help answer some of these questions. Good post. Case in point for newbies. Story mode. Story, story, story. Got 5 gems? Run to the gate like an addict to the casino. Right now is 2* xp for quests. This promo is so good I remember spamming late game levels on my old pro account just for the XP. Also, I just got Roglizer. His LS increases XP. I've seen others that do as well. Definitely look out for those, as they weren't around in my day, and break the game.

My big advise I didn't see op mention is to learn how to collect your rewards and intelligently shop with your esteem points. I got my roomie into this game and showed him my lvl 6 starter after about a days grind. He was dumbstruck how, and it was another thing vets couldn't do back in the day.

Welllllll I mean, there WAS the daily 3 gem 7* guarantee during autumn run, and right now there is the weekly thing where you can buy 2 tickets that guarantee 7* + ..... So if you want to be conservative and smart, savin for that to reset and such, and spending rest of space [and yes I know abou the 30th + 100 to both, still 150 and 200 is not that much space after some time]. So if im frank, with the number of events that go on nowaday, from an F2P standpoint, its better to save for the special 3 gem limited deal buys so that you get an guarantee 7*+. Not saying 5 gem or 1 gem summon is bad [frined got zelnite from 1 gem summon] but from F2P, its better to save and buy and wait.

EDIT 1 : Its a perm x2 on all quests. It was in patch notes/news....
EDIT 2 : When was "your day"? Also, EXP increasing LS's are really common rn, and are not that broken. Consider the fact that you can [if im not wrong] get 100% exp boost from guild..... and its not there main use. Rog is great overall [also, bruh I want him, low key sadness] but thats not his main function, same with whathisname [main IBB guy] its not his main use, and hes really situational, you need huge setup for him, so you can not utilize 100% without that setup.
