The best team that Works ALL around would be a team that has GX for the crit buff, Elza for the spark buff and Rowgen for the damage, with those main 3, the other 2 spots can be used to fill for mitiagtion and survival, or attack buffs. Whatever you want. As fas a questing: Darvanshel lead, Elza, GX, Rowgen and ulkina have you covered. you have Defense, heals and massive power. Hope that helps ( Elza Master Race Spark Buffer )

If you don't have the cost, don't worry about it. Just max their level. 6 are not needed in quests. Just in Vortex and EX dungeouns. But you should probably plan ahead and always try to make them your main team for quests. And as far as Evos go. Right now evo GX over everyone (if your cost allows it, if not just keep questing and getting levels, cost will soon be a thing of the past).
For normal quest, you do not have to bring a healer. With a good BB spam, you can have the HCs to recover you units health to full. Ulkina works as a pseudo healer + damage dealer as you progress further into the game. She got you covered for the most part. Tia's heal amount is enormous compared to the other healers in the game.
Grahdens THE EASY SQUAD: Grab 3 strong Maxwell friends, 5 fujins and grahdens will die in 3-5 turns. THE NORMAL SQUAD: Leader : Lily Matah Reason : Her Leader skill, BB and SBB helps to maintain the squad's bb , especially the damage mitigator's, so as to allow for better overall damage and survivability Sub unit 1 : Melchio Reason : Light buff + status ailments immunity Sub unit 2 : Rowgen Reason : Unlimited SBB = constant damage output. Sub unit 3 : Elza Reason : Her SBB is 30 hits + best spark up buff = damage + BCs. Sub unit 4 : Darvanshel Reason : Mitigation Friend choice : Grahdens Reason : Helps boost squad's overall performance and survivability STRATEGIES: Design your first squad to be a kamikaze squad. Essentially, you just have to put units with low costs inside to tank Grahdens' first AOE attack while doing chip damage. Choice of friend can be anything. Fight begins with the second squad(units above). Use 1 fujin on melchio immediately just to activate his BB/SBB and you can proceed with the fight with ease. The third squad is just to finish off grahdens in case he finishes your second squad after he "revives". I have a couple of Maxwell friends so that first choice is tempting... I'll set up a "just in case squad" for the 3rd team and do this kamikaze thing with two Maxwell friends for the first 2 teams So, a hybrid of easy and hard. P.S. Ardin and Yujeh can add the light & dark element as well, would they be a better choice than Melchio?
Melchio has the ability to negate some nasty status ailments from Grahdens. He is probably the best unit to choose for this fight.
For the normal squad aren't you going run a healer I'd run something like this, to be on the safe side ~ It's a pretty similar team ~ Lead: Zelnite, sub: Ulkina, Rowgen, Darvanshel, Ardin ~ Grab a Lilly Matah friend ~ Zelnite - BC/HC, LS + BB/SBB pretty neat utility leader ~ Ulkina - Heals + Heals + Moar Heal Rowgen - pure damage Darvasnhel - dmg mitigation Ardin - dual element buff + attack down debuff ~ Items: cures, Fujin tonic and potion, revive light, revive ~
